Our Story
Our founder, Zach Rose, began his journey with a deep curiosity about what makes businesses financially thrive. After earning his Master of Accounting (MAcc) and Bachelor’s degrees in both Finance and Accounting from Penn State University, he launched his career in the audit department of one of Pittsburgh’s largest accounting firms, where he developed a keen eye for financial accuracy and compliance and ultimately earned his CPA license.
After two years in audit, he transitioned into the firm’s advisory practice, specializing in due diligence and valuations. This experience provided him with a powerful understanding of how to assess business health, identify risks, and uncover opportunities, skills that form the foundation of his analytical approach today.
The next chapter led me to the startup world, where he discovered a passion for helping young, fast-growing companies make smarter financial decisions. At a robotics startup in Pittsburgh, he built financial models, supported a fundraising round, and gained hands-on experience building systems in an innovative, high-growth environment.
Later, at a fintech startup in Atlanta, he led the company’s first-ever budget process, developed the integrated 3-statement financial model from scratch, and led strategic pricing initiatives, all while partnering directly with leadership to guide data-driven decisions and secure another successful fundraising round.
The next step in my journey led him to a nonprofit health-tech startup as the Director of Finance, leading all finance and accounting operations, partnering with the executive team on strategic planning, and presenting regularly to the board. There, he successfully guided the organization through multiple successful audits and gained valuable experience in compliance, HR, and business operations.
Most recently, he spent some time as Head of Finance with a healthcare startup, building executive level experience and guiding strategic decision making.
This diverse background, spanning public accounting, startups, fintech, and nonprofit leadership, has shaped a simple belief: that every business deserves access to the same level of financial clarity and strategy that large corporations rely on.
